Applock Pro

Applock Pro is an app that lets you set a lock screen for any app that's installed on your Android device. You can choose whether you want to use a six-digit numeric password or if you prefer to set a pattern. Whichever option you choose, the goal is always the same: to put a lock on your important apps.

The first step after installing Applock Pro is to grant it two very sensitive permissions, which are absolutely necessary if you want the app to work correctly. The first permission allows it to be displayed over other apps. Without this permission, Applock Pro simply won't be able to display a lock screen over another app. The second permission lets you find out when an app is opened. Thanks to this permission, you can view statistics for the usage of all the apps on your device.

Once you've completed this first step, you can start using Applock Pro. On the app's main screen is a list of all your unprotected apps. With a single tap, you can move any of the unprotected apps to the protected apps column. Any app in this second column will display a lock screen if someone tries to open them. Among the most recommended for protection are your photo gallery or all your social media and messaging apps. No precaution is too little.

Although locking apps with a lock screen is all well and good, Applock Pro also offers a number of additional features to further protect your privacy. For example, you can prevent locked apps from displaying notifications or make them sound an alarm if the wrong password is entered three times. You can also get your device to take a picture with the front camera every time someone tries to unlock an app.

Applock Pro is an excellent app-locking tool, thanks to which you can tighten security on your most sensitive or important apps. What's more, if someone tries to uninstall the app, they will also have to enter a password, which they will most likely fail to do.
